01:12 pm - Swallow Fledglings being fed

Mary Theler Wetlands, Belwair, WA
August, 2009

About a week and a half ago, I posted an AVI of some sequences of swallow fledglings being fed. However, I didn't like the way the colors got muddied, so I picked one from the sequence to produce as a photo. Here you go!

Thanks, scarlettina! We stood there for a good 10-15 minutes. You can tell when the parent is approaching with a fresh bug, because the chicks flap their wings and open their beaks.

Glad you like it!
