Wow! Gargolruses!
What street is that on? I MUST see it next time I'm up that way.
The front of the building is on 3th Ave. This is taken from a parking garage on 4th, I think facing Cherry.
Glad you like it!
I have just realised what is wrong with the world. We need more walruses carved on buildings!
Amen, amen. They're so serious...
Guardian Walrii of Seattle?
heh, that was hilarious. I think it did moonwalk somewhere in there.
We do what we can, here in the Great Pacific Northwet.
I'm so glad that this building is being preserved as a hotel, Not open yet, is it?
No, they're still working on it. I hope the stained glass ceiling room on the 4th floor is preserved. We just heard about that last weekend.
Dammit, I want those walruses as sculpty textures to use in SL.
Wow, great shot--and in the 14 years I've lived in Seattle, I've never seen this building. Now I'm bound and determined to do so. Cool.
It's right across the street from where I used to work, on the corner of 3rd and Cherry. I think they recently removed the scaffolding from the street level. The whole thing is being turned into a hotel (after a century as an office building. I'm fairly certain it's landmarked.
Did I never show you the domed dance hall?
That *is* a gorgeous shot. The light and the cool colors seem just right. And the goddamned ubiquitous pigeon of course.
The Gargolrus should be the emblem of Corflu Zed. That is my stated belief.
Hm, that's not a bad idea. Hey, when is that hotel opening?!
I looked at it, but there weren't any signs "Opening in ____" that I could see. A couple posters looking for employees.

That's amazing; I've never noticed it. It's up there with the Oxford gargoyles.
And the pigeon is of course the perfect added touch.
I love those...so cool you got that great shot of them!
