|06:18 pm - Leah Cutter|
Three pictures of Leah Cutter, taken this afternoon in her condo. And my current favorite:
...but I go back and forth between this and the third one.
I like the third, but this one is my favorite of the three.
Thanks! That means a lot to me, coming from you, sir!
I like the second one best. She has a beautiful laughing expression. I like them all.
Great portrait! I'm impressed.

Depends on the context. #1
is a nice Author Shot. #3
just misses being that, somehow - it's the angle of the head or something, but it's a nice picture - and #2
is just delightful. Looks like you're having FUN.
Leah's looking great ! It's been forever since I've seen her.
This one has a more flattering chin line and more smoother draping of her shirt thanks to the crop. I slightly prefer the angle on her glasses and eyes in the third, but not enough to offset the better chin line.
What's the vertical line just above the chair over on the right edge of the photo? It's not in the other two shots and is something of a distraction in this first one.
For all of that nitpicking, you have good cause to be proud of and happy with all three photographs. The tones and lighting work very well together and the composition is interesting in a good and arty way.
It's the shadow of the window frame. I could crop it out, but wish I'd noticed it more when I was taking the picture.
I never would have guessed it was a window frame's shadow. The shadow of an electrical cord, sure. Or a sash cord. Weird.
I always see things in finished photos that I didn't notice at all in real time.
I like that little bit of space over on the right side of the photo, though I can't say I'd miss it if it were gone. (Comment based on test-cropping with a piece of paper on both the small and original sizes on screen.)
I can easily see how you'd like the third one as a personal favourite, but this is definitely the better publicity photo.
I really like the variety of tones and textures together.
