|10:30 pm - Here they are!|
Here at last are the pictures from the photo booth at Wiscon 34.
This is at least one photo of everyone who gave me permission to post to Flickr.
Hope you enjoy! We plan/hope to do it again next year.
There was a snafu with the rented equipment, so I'd like to give a big shoutout to rdkeir who lent us almost everything but the camera body.
Please feel free to post the URL to the Flickr set all around and about.
You did the very best thing!
Crazy(and loving how she gets to see all these wonderful people, many of whom are friends of many years)Soph
PS I'd want to get (or make?) prints of a couple of friends for my desk, what's your recommended way of doing it? Would you want to devote your energies to the job in exchange for money, or would you rather have it out of your hair, with me arranging some kind of print from the original file? (Or some other way I haven't yet guessed...)
Really some great portraits. Wotta buncha characters!
Terrific collection of portraits -- what an extraordinary stream of humanity! Did folks take the pics themselves, or did you take them, or -- ? Anyway great! Hope someday I can go to this con.
I took the pictures. I mentioned that I knew you to Greer Gilman, she said you were a good egg. See, I was name dropping and it was YOUR name I dropped. ;>
I'm honored that you found my name worthy of dropping, and tickled to hear tell of Greer's rather apt characterization. Now if I could just figure out how to break out of this egg, I hope to be an even better hatchling!
Now I'm a little embarrassed that I sent you an email about this as well. Hah! Oh well.
I was delighted to have both -- and I'd been meaning to reply to your LJ comment, so your email reminded me to do that, and it provided a fuller account -- a nice encounter to imagine. Greer is totally awesome; and you're pretty dang cool yourself; I'm glad you had a chance to meet, however briefly. I think it's great that you did the photobooth thang -- it sounds every bit as great as it looks!
