Friday: Jane spent the morning with Riley, and I took spaghetti out to jackwilliambell and anitar. It turned out M., Anita's sister, was joining us, and we had a good meeting, talking about what needs to be done, what we can expect, what the plans and prognoses are.
On the way home, I zoomed into the Dick's parking lot and got myself and Jane a couple of milk shakes. I tell you, a chocolate milk shake is not the thing to put atop VERY garlicky spaghetti sauce. Let's just say the biomass to methane conversion facility was working 110% of capacity. That was PART of the reason I didn't sleep well. Hah!
Saturday Jane and I spent the afternoon with Riley. Hah! Good thing we like him. Actually, this was pretty easy. He likes swimming, and he likes McDonald's Playlands (or whatever they're called) so we just took him to a McDonald's in Redmond and turned him loose. Every few minutes he'd come running up to us, we'd have him drink some more water, and he'd go running off again. I crawled into the play thing too at one point and he really liked that. When he came back to the table, he'd grab my hand and try to take me back inside. Hah! At one point we were playing a peek-a-boo game that had us both giggling for minutes.
Saturday night was pretty low key. A nap, a long soak in the tub, a conversation with Julie (mmmmmmm), then I made some stir fried zuchini in my new wok that turned out very well. Yeah! For some reason, I'm happy to have a real, carbon steel, solid, flat bottomed wok. I haven't had any kind of wok for many years, so this is fun to have. Yeah!
By then it was pretty late, so I processed a couple pictures and spent some time reading the Stranger. That's kind of a waste.
To tell the cold hard bitter honest truth, I don't like the Baby Girl or Kit pictures I posted last night/this morning, and might even try to see if I can take them again. I DO like the Sandy and Sasha pictures, though. And the next set is Freeway (the happiest dog in the world) and Ocean (one of the happiest people).
In other photography news, SEIU asked me to cover a rally they're putting on this week. Yes! It's Wednesday, which means I'll be able to do it. I'll even get paid.
Today: I'm going to spend a fair amount of time making do lists. As in, a month from now I'll be helping Julie pack up to move to Seattle and within a day or so of hitting the road hereto. Jane is off playing Lineage with a friend and his son, she'll come back with lots of stories about all she's learned, I'm sure. Tonight, maybe we'll watch a movie, or maybe not. I don't know.
And tomorrow starts another week.
