That's gorgeous. It looks like the Tyrell Corporation. I love all the rhyming angles and perspectival shifts within the image. Thank you! That's the building across the street, shot from my (current) office at about 8 a.m. Monday. That's what I call the Darth Vader building. It actually looks more like a giant penis, but I cropped off the head. (Ow!) ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/10172473/1884875) | From: | eldan |

ow ow ow. I was really enjoying this photo until I started looking at it as an overzealous circumcision.... Also, I thought the Darth Vader building was the all-black glass one on 4th Ave in Belltown.
Anyway, seriously, I really like the colours and lines you've picked out with the photo, in spite of not liking the building much as I usually see it. ooooh, it's the Seattle Municipal Phallus!
(actually, strictly speaking, you work in the Darth Vader building, and the Monument to Sexually Frustrated Architects is across the street)
Nice picture. Is that snow on the balconies, or just light? Does anyone use those balconies? I thought it was called the Darth Vader building for the same reason I call it the penis building -- because of the slope of the, um, head. Hah!
It's light on the balconies. I've never seen anyone on them, but I've only been working in that office the last few weeks. There's some stuff on the balconies that I can't tell if it's junk or parts to make canopies in the summer.

Nice! Very nice. I think I like the colors in the composition. All those shades of blues offset by the gold of the lights. When I first scrolled down to it I said, "Cover photo! Architectural Digest." Hey, just wanted to say, very very cool!
I get on LJ mostly to look at people's photography, and this was one of the few images that just stopped me. I like it because it evokes a curiosity, what is going on in those individually lit little spaces of warm light?
Thanks for posting it. 5 stars! |
