Lake Union Park, Seattle
Bee Butt in Artichoke Flower
Beacon Hill, Seattle
All: July, 2008
That purple is amazing and the rope is . . . SEXY.
Glad you liked them both. In that rope I see the origin of Celtic knotwork. Thanks!
So is the rope intentionally tied in Celtic knots, or does it just look like it is?
Love the bee butt, as you may imagine.
The story I made up for myself (on seeing the rope) is that Celtic knotwork, the design element, originated in these patterns or laying rope out for storage. This story may have little or no resemblance to reality.
Looking at it again, you may be right. I thought it looked like it would unravel easily, but now I think not.
(Sorry, I've been reading Neighboring Lives which embellishes my syntactical complexity, as one might imagine. LOL.)
